I am utterly uninterested in canon ships. Even if I think they're cute in canon I just have no urge to find fanwork of them, at all.

I mean I think it's great others do, but it's like.... eh, nope.

Yeah, I've never cared much for finding fanworks for canon ships I somewhat like because my fix for that relationship is the canon--I don't need anything else.

I've always used fandom as a place to explore all that canon doesn't have room for.

This is exactly why I'm not interested in reading fanfic for the canon pairs I ship - because it's already been done in canon and I'm satisfied with what canon gives us.

That makes sense. If I like it in canon I'm generally satisfied with canon. If I dislike it in canon, I'm not going to go looking for fanstuff.

It's like if there's an amazing pizza place right down the street and I love pizza, I'm going to eat pizza there. If there's a pizza place down the street and I hate pizza, I'm not going to make my own pizza. And if I love pizza but there's no pizza place, I'm going to make it.
