Randomly coming by to rec a fic that I think is better than some published books I've read. It's set in the Sherlock Holmes Downey films and is Sherlock/John/Mary, endgame. Very well written. http://archiveofourown.org/works/98886

Well, this is kind of relevant to the secret because the secret is reccing the best fanfic author they know, and the commenter is response is reccing the best fic they've ever read. Plus, people have off topic threads in secret comments all the time.

Like, this might not have been the best place to post this, but your reply was 100% an overreaction and way unnecessarily mean.

Morbid curiosity led me to attempt to read it.

It's not bad. Not brilliant - there's a certain amount of author self-insertion going on with the Mary Morstan character, and it smacks of teenage writing - but far from the worst thing I've ever read.
