Winly is an 'accepted' spelling of her name, because of the 'l' 'r' switch translating Japanese to English.

I know that. Winry is the "official" translation of her name, and unless its 4kids who's choosing the names I usually refer to them by that. After all, people don't call Lelouche "Rurushu".

Ah... My mistake. Some people are just unaware of how many acceptable translations there are in that series.

Trust me, I know exactly what you mean, I guess the way you worded the comment is just what threw me off.
