I like both, but if you want really good mafia stuff go fucking watch The Godfather already. You're not going to get much better than that. Baccano! couldn't hold a candle to it if it tried. 'Real mafia' indeed.

Still comparing Baccano! to Reborn! [wait why do both of them have !] is like comparing apples to oranges. They might both be mafiafruits but they're way different.

The Godfather is closer, but still off. A surprisingly good respresentation of drug-dealing American mafia of the 60's (vs the arms and alcohol dealing of yonder years) is American Gangster, though.

Godfather is good at the whole omerta code thing though.

I haven't seen American Gangster, so I really didn't want to suggest a movie I haven't seen. The only other example I could think of was Goodfellas and I thought Godfather did a better job.

But American Gangster's good? I should probably put that one on my to-do list.
