1. I think a lot of people do that to an extent. I used to buy doujinshi when I was a bigger FF7/Suikoden fan even though I didn't have much money. Hell, I still spend money I don't have, except now they're on piercings and earrings. However, spending so much money that you don't have money for the essentials is when one should stop and reevaluate the importance of what they're spending on.

13. Meh, I guess it depends on your definition of furry? It sounds like you're trying to imply the less socially-accepted connotations of being a furry and not being a fan of furry-art/stories itself.

18. It still amuses me how some anime fans get on the offense when American cartoons are mentioned. Then again, some of the anime fans I knew were kind of... strange.

Well, I know it's pretty unlikely I'm going to spontaneously BECOME him, so I'll settle for having his social position-- needed but not necessarily liked or sought out. I just want people to leave me be unless I'm proving to them how awesome I am.


Which sounds incredibly arrogant, but that's pretty true to character for both of us.

I figured being unpopular but necessary was a side effect of dangerously high exposure to physics. There's not much small talk to be made, really. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT BOSE-EINSTEIN CONDENSATES doesn't cut much ice with the liberal arts crowd.
