Well they've only done 13 episodes, that isn't really long enough to work out who plays off who properly yet. We'll see how things go when they come back for season 2. FWIW, I personally think Gina works better with Peralta and Amy works better with Holt, in terms of personality, so I hope they swap that around a bit. In terms of actual police work, I prefer Boyle and Peralta.

It is still a pretty good show, I just wish there was more fan activity.

I thought it was a full season? I definitely feel like I watched more than 13 episodes.

Huh, you are completely correct. I retract my statement.

I could have sworn it was just a half season, I do not know why. Obviously it worked well enough for me that it felt like they had not made enough. Make moar!

It felt like it was over faster, I think, because it did less hiatuses than other shows so it was over a good month or so before everything else. It was a full 22 ep season, though.

Why do you refer to the female characters by their first names and the male characters by their last names?

I have no idea, and would not have noticed I had done so if you had not pointed it out. Peralta's first name sounds silly to me, I mean "Jake", c'mon who calls their kid that. Pirates? Holt....I would have to look his first name up, I do not know it. Boyle's first name is Charles, I ought to use that more. It is a good name. I have no idea what Gina's last name is. I ought to use Santiago's last name more though, like Charles, it is a good name.

Little personal blindspot there, I'll try and work on it.

Lots of people call their kid Jake. It's a pretty damn common first name.

It just sounds like a trying too hard name, the sort of name someone who is trying to come across as a freewheeling pirate, or a hardboiled 40s detective would choose. Which, come to think of it, suits Peralta perfectly.
