Your problem, OP, is that you've assumed that furries are "new," in the sense that they've only existed since the advent of the internet. But that's not true. The concept of "furry" has been around since at least 1980, which predated every fandom you've listed in your secret.

Furries get hate because people find them weird, not because they're associated with certain fandoms.

Pretty much this. It's not even really about the porn, it's just the flat-out weirdness of putting animal features on humanoid forms and taking it seriously enough to call it a lifestyle.
