That's what bothers me most about hardcore slashers. Ship what you ship, fine, but to insist that it's canon and I must be a homophobe because I don't see it? Go to hell.

If you've been called a homophobe enough times...it gets to you. As someone who in real life has her will set up that her gay brother in law will raise her kids if she and her husband die, I'm not sure a homophobe is what I really am.

I think it's a problem that people insist SPN has actual representation for bisexual men when it really, really doesn't.

It has a lesbian character, but she's never around. Though I really wish she was.

I don't feel oppressed but it gets old when you just want to talk about a new episode of a show without it devolving into how John and Sherlock were obviously eyefucking and I'm a homophobe because I won't acknowledge it, for example.

This is why I can't stand the WTNV fandom. SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT CARLOS AND CECIL. I get it, they are gay. BUt fuck me, there is a WHOLE WORLD OF COOL SUPERNATURAL AND CREEPY STUFF. THAT IS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT.

This is the main reason I've held off of Nightvale, even though it's right up my alley. 95% of the fandom seems to be talking about Carlos/Cecil, wank over how brown Carlos is, or fanart of Carlos/Cecil cuddling. It's really unfortunate when you actually get queer representation in media and the obsessive fangirls ruin it.

it will NEVER happen. the writers just aren't going to do it, nope, sorry, it's just not that kind of show.

so i'd rather find other shows with bisexual representation. i couldn't care less about destiel becoming canon, and honestly, all these people getting so obsessed over this ONE character in this ONE show being written as a gay or bi - it just comes across as them caring more about their ship becoming canon than actual queer issues.

I am straight and I think gay and bi people deserve a character that does not go "Hey! Whoa! I'm straight!" every time the suggestion comes up that he may be gay or bi.

Also, I never expect anyone to agree with anything I headcanon.
