I really liked the first episode, and I'm looking forward to watching more.

I hope you watch more and enjoy it - nine seasons in and I'm still a huge, huge fan, loving every episode and season. Please don't think the weird-ass wrangling and generalizations you get here at F!S is all that's out there. Some of us fans are actual, rational people who know how to enjoy canon and headcanon at the same time without becoming obnoxious.

Ah, sorry to disappoint - my comment was in reply to the one hoping Constantine would really take off.

I tried watching SPN several years back. Watched half of season one, and I guess it was okay. I was annoyed by a few things, but not enough to hate it. A few episodes were interesting, but it didn't grab me enough to keep watching.

Made another try a while ago when one of my best friends really got into it, but again, it didn't grab me. It wasn't boring to me (in fact, it has some of my favourite tropes), but I just couldn't emotionally connect to the characters - and I need that in my media. It didn't help that I didn't like Jared all that much from his time on Gilmore Girls, too.

Ah, well - you gave it a shot! :) GG was so annoying that i just kind of blanked most of it from my mind (and never watched all that much, anyway) so past 'stuff' doesn't much come into it for me. (Though yes, that character was annoying.)

I'm looking forward to Constantine, too - that's a favorite movie of mine, despite the purist's howls about how awful it is.

Well, I have huge issues with my mother, so seeing characters deal with their own can be very helpful sometimes. GG definitely helped. *g*

I loved the Constantine movie, too, but then I didn't know John Constantine from anywhere besides the Sandman comics, and I believe that doesn't count. Hee...maybe I'll rewatch it later today.

I didn't know that! But apparently yes, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to watch it, I guess. It just showed up as available dl on my tv community, and I took it.
