Another tall, dark and handsome Dorian Gray adaptation? God I hate it when they do that. He's supposed to look like an angelic, virginal choirboy, ffs!

Yes. Damn, it feels like every single modern adaption goes out of their way to make him dark haired. How many times can an author mention a character's hair colour?

He's not particularly tall or dark actually. And he does look vulnerable even though he isn't.

True: it sounds as if the first comment in this thread was sarcastic and the initial responder didn't notice it.

Dorian Gray doesn't strike me as especially tall nor dark in Penny Dreadful. On the contrary, he seems hardly taller than Vanessa and slightly shorter than Ethan, and he appears to have light brown hair. In sunlight, which we admittedly see very little of in Penny Dreadful.
