As someone who's written meet-cute femslash in two different fandoms (stories that get very little attention), I'd say the best way to get the kudos you crave is to:

1. Pull up all the F/F fics on Ao3
2. Sort by kudos
3. Note which fandoms are most prevalent on the first pagfe of the results.
4. Do whaever you have to do to make your characters fit into that fandom.
