Re: FS Pet Peeves
What I don't see nearly as much of as people say there is is people acting like their fanon is canon. What I do see a lot of around here is:
[happy burbling about headcanon]
"That's not canon!!"
And I'm thinking "they never said it was...?"
Or a lecture about how it's fine to have headcanons as long as you don't act like it's canon, which is true, but there was no indication that they needed to hear it.
I'd add one other thing but that will probably get some of this aimed at me now.
Oh what the hell.
Sometimes I get annoyed when people say that a character must be 100% straight because they have only been seen with members of the opposite sex. That argument completely ignores the reality of bisexuality and being in the closet or in denial and it's annoying. Doesn't make the characters queer in canon (should I repeat that in bold so no one lectures me on that?) but the arguments are still annoying.
