There's markets for that kind of thing, you know. lessthanthreepress.com publishes f/f original fiction. I have several friends who have published through them, and say they're very helpful and approachable.

Thanks for the rec to lessthanthree. I'd never heard of them before, and they even have original fic serials.

Serial fiction is a great idea. Perfect for publishing on the internet, both as a reader and as a writer. You get to see the first chapters for free, and then pay? I didn't see any I liked that much yet. A lot depends on that great first chapter.

They also do themed submissions. I like how they think.

The only thing that's missing is a way to talk to other readers/moderated comments allowed under the fics. Otherwise, the way it's set up is admirable.

<3!

Edit: I was thinking that their approach shared a lot of similarities to shousetsu Big Bang (http://bb-shousetsu.livejournal.com/ - the themed submissions, the requirement for happy endings) and then I saw that some of the lessthanthree artists also do SSBB covers, so that's probably intentional.

I like lessthanthree's rape ban as well, and how they word exactly what they allow and what they don't (gratuitous rape for the sake of easy hurt/comfort or sexual appeal is not welcome here). It's thoughtful all round.
