I do that too. I don't know, I feel like I'll get a more neutral reaction or something. Like if there are people who don't like me, they might be more likely to reply if they don't know I'm the one who started the thread.

I do it more because I feel like there's a bit of an expectation for named users to reply to everyone and don't like getting a lot of notifications at once, but the neutral response is another factor for me too.

Yeah that too. I get all anxious about how it looks to respond to one reply but not another even though I know that everyone understands that sometimes you can like a comment but have nothing to say in response.
