Actually I love the latest ones: 'Going Postal' and 'Making Money' are my all-time favorites, behind 'Pyramids', and I've been fan since day one!

Just mentally place people who come up with such idiocies in your 'complete waste of oxygen' category and ignore them

They just want attention and hope to obtain it with what they think is interesting controversy: don't give it to them.

PS: I am in the middle of reading 'Raising Steam' which is all set to be another non-stop barrel of laughs... :D

Glad to see someone else rooting for Going Postal/Making Money! They're my absolute favourites - they were my in-road into Discworld, but even reading most everything they remain incredibly loveable, I think largely because I feel like you get to see a different side of Ankh-Morpork, there being less of a focus on the Watch.

Or maybe I'm just a sucker for a loveable rouge!

NA

Add me to the list, Going Postal replaced The Truth as my favorite. I have a big soft spot for all of Tiffany's books as well.

Agreed! Moist is one of my favorite characters of the series, and Going Postal was fantastic commentary on the dangers of libertarian capitalism.
