Honestly, OP, I think it makes more sense than you think.

If you'll allow me a moment with my degree in armchair psychology, I'd imagine that you find infidelity fic cathartic even when, if not especially, when it focuses on the cheaters and lets them win in the end because it gives you more insight as to why your husband did what he did and allows you to/tries to get you to sympathize with the cheaters.

But that's enough armchair psychology for one day. I don't think there's anything wrong with you, OP. I'm very sorry that your husband cheated on you. We all deal with things in our own way and this is yours, own it. I hope that one day you find a fandom that features more infidelity fic with pairings that are to your liking and specifications.
