Now I have a plot bunny and something to work into my fics. This has been coming into my mind from other angles with Charles but this puts it into words very well for me.

I agree that telepathy calls up specific fears but it does depend on the type, if its always on and then filtered or has to be used. And in the rhetoric of Raven and Erik, it brings up an intriguing twist. Either way, fascinating ideas to consider.
