From what I've seen, most of tumblr is just as bewildered as the rest of the internet, just with more second-hand embarrassment because jeez, guys, did you really think this would be a good idea?

I went to read the tags out of curiosity and it's hilarious. People first being outraged when they found out about the 17K (and saying they should have been given to someone who need it/donated/given to someone for trans surgery), then posting pics, and suddenly exploded in memes.

Kinda brings back memories of the good ol' lj days.

My favorite is the stuff about the ballpit. The pitful, pitful little ballpit.

It's kind of weird, actually. I'm not used to seeing tumblr being self-aware and making fun of itself for this long.

The ballpit thing was so incredibly funny and incredibly sad, I can't stop laughing at all the memes appearing on my dash.

I want to think they are finally growing up. And I've been seeing posts saying that they are quitting tumblr/going back to livejournal while preaching their secondhand embarrassment. It's amusing, really.
