I feel slightly the same way, though not as strongly as the OP.

But I hate any posting of paparazzi photos on tumblr by fans. It's like they've completely disassociated how those photos were obtained - by stalking these people in their private life. How is that okay?

With Conchita/Tom it's a little different as he performed as Tom in public many times, so there's footage of that. It's not exactly hard to find. Photos of his private life, though, is going too far.

I haven't checked the tumblr tag, but I'm guessing there's paparazzi photos of him taken since Conchita's win, since that would be depressingly par for the course.

I've also not looked at the tag (only peripherally in the fandom) but I've heard paparazzi were stalking airports for recent appearances just in case he was traveling out of drag, so I would be completely unsurprised.

I hate this whole culture of not letting celebrities have a private life just for the sake of making news. The absolute worst are the tabloids that get all judgey whenever somebody has a hair out of place. "XY looks like she's really let herself go" she's buying groceries, not posing on a red carpet, asshole.
