I'm confused, are you insulting Martha as being the black-Rose because she pines over the Doctor, or Mickey because he was a complete little-girl and an adjunct to Piper's character? I'm going to imagine the latter, just because that seems more fun.

Yeah, no. Rose was a terrible character, Martha was pretty cool (stupid crush on the Doctor aside). Don't compare them,

I always thought Rose was actually okay until the second season, although abandoning her mother in the first did seem.. harsh.

To be fair, it was the Doctor that miscalculated. Rose thought she was only gone 12 hours.
