The gameplay, graphics, and POKEMON AMIE made up for the megas and boring "Here we come to stop the game from happening!!" tagalong characters. The translation/localization were also waaaay better than in Gen 5, which was incomprehensible fansub realness at times (especially in BW). On the other hand, it had Binacle and Barbaracle, which might be my new least favorite pokemon of all time.

I wouldn't fault anyone for whatever Pokemon games they like best though. There's a lot of sentiment and nostalgia wrapped up in the franchise and as long as you're not trying to rain on anyone else's parade you should be able to have whatever opinions you have about a childrens' video game series.

I also have a new least favorite Pokemon that was introduced in Gen VI though! specifically, Ugly Lint Bunny Diggersby (who I also partly resent for being the ONLY non-legendary Ground-type in the entire gen SERIOUSLY GUYS what were you thinking??)

OH YEAH Diggersby too, good god that thing is repellant.

When the game had just come out someone on r/pokemon said their little sister burst into tears when her Bunnelby evolved and that's what I think about now every time I see it. I do not blame that child one bit.
