Compared to the animation in American cartoons, anime just seem to be stiff in general. That's just their jam. I don't mind it that much.

However, the awful character design (the old designs were simpler, THANK GOD, which meant they looked awkward less often even with less than stellar artists), the messy static hair that everyone adores so much (yes there's random curls EVERYWHERE, but they rarely move independently), the PSone era transformation sequence (no, that's not like from a good video game, that's like from a video game when Final Fantasy IX first came out) and the lack of expressions (no, have YOU read the manga lately? there's plenty of silly chibi faces, shut up) ... and all of this in 2014, after keeping the fandom waiting and promising something epic.

Yeah fuck this and everyone who pretends the thing is super duper lovely. Every single Pretty Cure season is better than this.
