Don't feel bad honey. Everyone has to grow up sometime. Get out of the house more, interact with people face-to-face, take up a sport. Fangirling isn't the be-all, end-all of existence.

Hmm, I'm outdoorsy, have a pretty big social circle I interact with and still like fangirling. The one does not replace or rule out the other. But, I get stuff from fandom that I don't really get in other aspects of life. I can sort of do plot/general discussions with my bf and some select friends, but shipping is almost exclusively something I do in online fandom. So I get OP.

Nice projection, dear.

Yes, if someone fangirls, then that is their one and only interest. No one who fangirls ever gets off the internet.

The period during which I was most active in fandom (high school/college/grad school) was also the period during which I had the most active offline social life, dated more, and had more non-fandom-related hobbies and pass-times, all in addition to going to class, getting an International Baccalaureate diploma, writing a master's thesis, and working part-time.

Right now, my job involves travel and keeps me outdoors a lot and believe me, that's not the be all and end all of existence, either. It's actually kind of lonely.
