Eh, I think it's cute. Not because of them both having the same look, but because I find it aesthetically pleasing when people have light hair and dark brows.

I find that quote a bit unfair, I have a brother with medium brown hair whose beard grew through bright red. The red tone were in his hair, but not nearly as obvious as in his beard. (He's going quite grey now, which is amusing because his online name is Greyknight.)

The same book also says you can get your wishes granted by holding hands with someone in such a way that your thumbs touch, and your pinkies also touch. So, hope you are at ease with it not being a thing to take seriously?

At least in the case of the guy he has very good reason for it - he probably had black hair when he was younger and his eyebrows are the last to go grey. The cartoon? That is just emphasis on her thick brows.

But the only dark eyebrow/light hair combo I find a bit jarring is Thranduil, because I find Lee Pace's eyebrows don't look elven. They look fine on him when he's not wearing a long blond wig, but with the wig? Nope!
