Hell, if nothing else, people have been wrongly convicted before. They have lists of people who have been put to death and are not presumed innocent (based on shoddy police work, coerced confessions, etc). As that one guy said, "Better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer.”.

Oh yeah, can't forget that. That's my major reason for it as well. It is depressing to think about how many people have been wrongly convicted and executed.
