Idk her being openly helpless when the fighting starts, plus being openly jealous of Lagertha makes her not terribly Sueish in my eyes. A true Sue would be an awesome Shield Maiden + Ragnar's GF + Super Special Seer + Beautiful And Everyone Loves Her. As it stands she's prissy, wrong about shit all the time, can't fight, and Ragnar totally still wants to bone his ex, too. Being pretty and a Seer and getting a man to cheat on you because you're really hot isn't sueish, it's downright pedestrian for fantasy.

But then Lagertha's no sue herself (her husband cheats on her, she gets jealous, she makes all kinds of mistakes). I'm impressed with the general quality of female characters in that series all around, to be honest.

You have a point. She's still unlikeable though. The other female characters are pretty great though.
