Exactly. It's not like someone posted a secret saying that they'd stubbed their toe and someone else going "OMG THIS NEEDS A TRIGGER WARNING ON IT YOU FUCKING SCUMBAGS!!!" Animal cruelty and death is a fairly emotive issue and can commonly bring about emotions similar to that of other things we have trigger warnings for.

It's not like it's some obscure thing that could possibly upset one or two people. Mice may be "dirty disease spreading rodents" to some but it's clear from the comments above that plenty of people still get upset at something like that and a simple warning would have been useful.
