Start a log of any time you talk to someone at the insurance company or the medical office. Write down the time and date, what you called about, who you spoke to, and what they told you. Keep records of everything.

Well, this one was done my their email Contact Us website feature.

I tried calling twice with no success. The first time I got sent to Customer Service instead of Claims. And apparently Claims closes before Customer Service so after my 30 minute hold time, the rep talking to me could not do anything. The second time, I was on hold for 45 minutes when the line just cut out (anon from yesterday).

Keep looking on their site. Do you have this insurance through your job? I know we had a special agent that dealt with us and I could call him basically just to complain or have him push me through to someone. He only sold my company the insurance but he at least could give me numbers of who to call and in what department.

Best of luck and believe me it's a nightmare. I got lucky with my one test where it was supposed to be $2000 out of pocket (it's a highly specialized test that I luckily only need every 10 years) and was quoted by the insurance company that I would have to pay it. Three months after the test, I get an explanation of benefits where the insurance company paid for the whole thing.
