This. It's one thing if the boobs are inappropriately fanservicey and creepy, but if they're just there, and what's important is the story? Then hell, ogle away. This community is 99% people finding fictional characters sexy, it's what we're all here for.

And boobs ARE awesome.

honestly for anime those boobs look pretty decent. They aren't flying in opposite directions, they aren't big enough to have their own gravitational pull, they don't have weirdly detailed nipple-outlines despite ostensibly being held up by a bra so as to not get all flap-jacky.

I'm not into boobs, but those boobs are good ones.

They get a bit uncanny later on tho. I can forgive it in the manga but in the anime it just gets weird sometimes

That's when the filler starts getting really bad, and episodes start being like a third flashback to previous episodes.

There is some good filler here and there (since a lot of it was written by Oda as stuff he coudln't get to in the manga, mainly the part that goes into a little more of what happened just before a timeskip that will happen) but a lot of crap to sift through.



Also, regarding boobies. At one point when called on it, Oda has admitted that nami is "18 and still still growing" and he'll "do his best!" He then noted Nico Robin is "28... and I'll do my best!!?" (to be fair that last one might have been more the animation company switch, she's a bit less ridiculous in the manga)

Never ever ever be ashamed for liking boobs, OP. You're a straight male. It's normal to like women's beautiful breasts. I'm a gay guy and *I* like boobs. They're lovely! The male-gaze problem is an issue of men in creative industries pushing sexualized female images out for no reason except because it turns them on. This is okay sometimes but, more often than not, it's distracting or inappropriate and it promotes a very limited view of women. As a male, you are allowed to gaze. Just don't stare or ogle or be creepy about it. Same thing applies to you too, ladies. Let's be nice to everyone (and let's think filthy, sexy thoughts.)
