I can see being angry at the cheating rumors, but what exactly does HBC's talent have to do with it? That's like the pseudo-intellectual version of "She's too pretty for him to cheat on!!1!"

I dunno. "She wasted the best years of her life on him, and now he's cheating on her!" is actually a pretty common complaint when adultery comes up in real life. I imagine the talent portion is just the acting version of that.

Older actresses don't get as much work as younger actresses, with the exception of some of the A-list ones. That's just a fact. So, the fact that HBC has had loads of crap roles, possibly because she was doing a favor for Burton, gives her both a bad track record and wastes years of her prime acting career.

I don't agree with OP about this, and I don't think HBC has actually had that many crap roles. But the complaint itself isn't that far-fetched when we're talking actresses.

Ah, I see what you're saying. I do think that is changing slowly, and that HBC is certainly talented enough to hopefully buck the trend.

da - She is, but will she? Lots of talented actresses weren't able to buck the trend as they aged, so much so that the examples of famous, bankable actresses who get great roles is a very small club. Whether or not HBC is able to join that club is not entirely in her control.

Came here to say this, pretty much. What does either of their ability have to do with cheating? Hypothetically speaking, wouldn't it be just as mean for him to cheat on her if they were both as talented as a bag of rocks? Maybe it's just that I don't give hardly a crap about celebrities, but I'm not seeing the connection.
