Does that matter? I know labels can empower you, but you're still the same person. No label, or the lack of it, can change that.

Yeah, but people ask, and not having a label to spit out makes me feel like I'm either childish ("oh, I haven't figured myself out yet") or pretentious ("I am too complex for labels").

Who's going around asking that? And what business is it of theirs? But if people insist on asking, and you feel like you need to give a simple answer, I'd just go with whichever gender you find more aesthetically pleasing more often, regardless of sexy or lack of sexy feelings. And if someone tries to set you up with someone, just say you're not really interested right now.

I've tried to do that (and not just more aesthetically pleasing but also which I'd be more interested in having a romantic relationship with) but always end up feeling like I'm being dishonest or a fraud or something. It's like there have to be sexy feelings or it isn't valid or something.
