I like both Alex and Piper. I don't think they're boring at all. I can't see what is unlikable about Piper. And Alex has flaws, but that makes her character interesting. And I like their romance just fine, one of my favorite parts of the show is their interactions, so yeah.

I can't see what is unlikable about Piper.

It's simple. What Piper (really wants, not what she thinks she) wants, Piper gets. It's boring.

Not to mention she constantly comes across like she's above everyone else and does/questions whatever she wants. Her mindset is very much that being in prison is an inconvenience. And she's selfish as fuck. It's not in a nice character flaw way, because she was just as selfish in the 1st episode as she was in the last. This was even after Nicky pointed out to her how selfish she is. I see her as highly unlikeable with no redeeming qualities.

Uhh, I get finding her boring, but that's about it. Why shouldn't she question things? With all the crazy, unfair stuff that goes on, guards that constantly bully and take advantage, as well as other inmates, people really get mad at her for speaking her mind? Apparently that makes her a rich white bitch or something? idgi. I also don't see where she comes across as being "above" anyone else, she seems like she's pretty polite to everyone and never seems condescending at all to me. Unless she's exploded into a rant against someone who has already treated her like shit.

Again, I get boring. But I don't get any of the other criticisms. Selfish? Uh what character in the show is not more selfish than she is?

AYRT I should've maybe been clearer. I don't care if she questions things, it's that when she does it's like everyone stops their shit to listen to her. She's the "new girl" and there's no real reason why anyone should listen to her and yet it's like everyone she talks to about some problem she perceives will eventually help her. When you look at Brooke on the other hand who has the same sort of inquisitive mind, but no one gives a fuck about her. And I never called her a "rich white bitch." But she undoubtedly gets special treatment for whatever reason.

A lot of people rebuke Piper though and tell her it's not going to help. And Soso got people to join her hunger strike.
