Not recently, no. Let's talk tropes. \0/

A character who helped the main character dies because of that. Especially annoying if it happens to multiple characters. So overdone.

A weird character is forced (or encouraged) to conform to society. Example: the Breakfast Club.

AUGH, I will never forgive "The Breakfast Club" for that! (I was bored up until the ending, and then that part of the ending induced rage, so... yeah, not a favorite movie of mine by any means.)
