I don't hate her, I just think she's boring and there wasn't anything about her to make her stand apart. Just another pretty, witty, young white female companion in a long line of the same. I wish she'd just been Victorian Clara, she would have been fun.

I'd try watching DW again if they introduced a non-contemporary companion for a run. Or if they didn't fit that demographic you just mentioned.

But the only young pretty white companions were Mary Rose, Amy and Clara. Donna was an old hag, Martha was black.

DING DING DING

Clara is just boring. I don't dislike her, I don't love her, she's just *there*. I'm been a fan of DW for over thirty years. And I love New Who, just as I love Classic Who.

But if I am ranking Companions, Clara is about on the level of Kamelion or Dodo. There have been companions I have hated - Rose, Mel, Adric and Tegan come to mind, but at least you can have an opinion about them. Have debates and conversations. But Clara just... exists. Jenna is very pretty and talented and she's just wasted in this role.

I now have to say my top three companions would be Ace, Fitz and Donna. And I am really sad that Eleven never got to meet Donna.

Fitz's great. I also like Ace and Donna. Donna - partly because of the actress, who's awesome.

Maybe Clara'd do more with 12.

And I am really sad that Eleven never got to meet Donna.

Oh my god, imagine how awesome that would've been! Especially since I think Eleven and Ten are not all the same, so there would be a lot to look forward to. Clara sometimes gave me the Donna vibes with her sarcasm, but she, of course, wasn't as awesome....well, yet.
