went to a Holocaust memorial ... and took group pictures while doing the salute.

I...don't think these were just cosplayers, anon. That sounds a little too much like what the actual right-wing extremists would do.

Eh, I think they were mostly shit-fuck stupid.

Not defending their actions, because it was terrible, but just to clear something up they weren't at a Holocaust memorial. There was one close by. They're at the Prudential Center in Boston (where the con was held).

I think they were for the most part, all teenagers, so they probably weren't super strong in their political leanings.
