For what it's worth, apparently everything's good between Coolio and Al now regarding the whole imbroglio. And just recently, Coolio has gone on record basically saying he p. much regretted how he handled the whole thing (and that he thinks Amish Paradise is funny, too).

The thing that pisses me off about this whole debacle is that Weird Al didn't need Coolio's permission to do squat with the song. Parodies are protected under the Fair Use Act. Al was, as always, just being polite by asking.

And he has declined to release stuff in the past when the artists he parodied didn't want him too. He's grumbled about it, but he does try to respect their wishes. (That's why he's never released a Prince parody. Prince didn't like the idea.)
