It's a small place called "Earth" and if you saw a picture of me you'd find half a dozen flaws before it even occurred to you to "accept" me as I was.

You're making assumptions about how much I care about how others look. Also, I've noticed that a lot of people magnify their own flaws. They think they're uglier than they really are. I consider it very likely that you don't look as bad as you think you do.

And even if I'm wrong (which would be an anomaly.) and you are hideous, so what? That doesn't change the fact that you should tune out whatever portion of society is telling you to change in ways that aren't comfortable to you.

wake the fuck up. society is brutal to marginalized groups. tuning it out may make the individual feel better, but it doesnt solve the problem that is society policing others' bodies and lives.

But the solution to the OP is to tune that crap out and hang with people who aren't like that.

They can start by not listening to jerks like you pretend that all anyone cares about is how they look. Some people are shallow assholes, yeah. But most of the world cares more about hobbies, the new movie that just came out, the book they just read, that project at work, etc.

OP, you're fine. You are not as ugly as you think you are, and if someone wants you to change in a way you don't agree with, then fuck 'em.
