...do you not like children's movies, or what? HTTYD is pretty inoffensive as far as movies go, so it really surprises me when people have strong opinions against it.

Anyway, sacrifices have to be made for friendship, but you should put your foot down if you're the only one who's willing to make the effort.

I get the impression that it's more the $12 that offends them, than the movie itself.

For starters, no, I don't enjoy children's movies. I've tried Disney, Studio Ghibli, Dreamworks, etc., and I always seem to get bored. *shrug* I'd have no problem watching one every once in a while at home, but when I wind up in situation where I have to keep forking over cash to see movies that bore me, on top of sitting through said types of movies and tv shows at home because that's all we do, I get tired of it.

I do love the animation = children's movie train of thought.
