She does have a distinct style. She also utterly fails at anatomy. But the part where she fails at anatomy is not part of her style, that's just her needing some extra lessons. A stylized anatomy doesn't have to look human necessarily, but the elements need to fit and you can only achieve that when you know a bit about basic anatomy.

The anatomy in Adventure Time is heavily stylized. It is also balanced, and that is the key, really. It's the reason we can believe that Spongebob's arms actually work despite him being a ... well. A sponge.
