A caution: even the most natural of natural remedies can interact with medications in weird ways -- talk to your pharmacist! (For example, unless you know for certain it's okay, don't consume grapefruit when you're on any medication! It can make blood levels of a number of different medications erratic.)

Antacids can do this, too; by reducing the amount of acid in your stomach, any meds you take get absorbed a hundredfold into your bloodstream. Don't ask me how I know this, I really don't want to relive that particularly unpleasant experience.
