Check out reccing communities for recs for your fave fandoms, and leave comments on them. I know I enjoy feedback from someone who read one of my recs! (Try fancake, gensplosion, het-reccers, and ffnetgoodfic.)

To make friends, you have to be a friend! Yes, it can be tiring to always put yourself out there, but it does work. ^^
