I can't figure out if you posted the beginning of the fic and regret it due to backlash, or if you found out before you even started posting it, OP?

To me it sounds like OP hasn't posted any of the fic, but they didn't realize how others in the fandom felt about the pairing. So they were writing this pairing, realized how much people didn't like it, and now don't want to post their fic because they're afraid of backlash. (I assume, anyway.)
