That interview was so retarded the only appropriate response is to ignore it completely. Like, what was he thinking even saying that stuff? Especially about the character development.

I really doubt that interview would have much of an effect, If any at all, on sales.

It only sold well enough to actually make it in to the Oricon rankings once, and that was ~280 copies. That's the only data we have, as far as I know.

Well, I personally got it from /a/ (the sales, or lack thereof, were a big issue there when it was airing), but you can find it pretty easily with google.
