... I remember this scene.

I watched this show in large part for Richard Armitage, I'm not gonna lie. And later on also for Clive Standen (even though his character's backstory was pretty WTF).

Richard Armitage is the definition of erotic.

Shirtless Richard Armitage. *siiiiiiiigh* I remember this scene very well, too.

This... might have been the only scene of the entire series that I've watched.

*whistles*

He was one of the only decent characters in there. (watched first two seasons, dodged the bullet by not watching the third season)

I just looked it up for reasons and it's from season 2 episode 3 "Child Hood". Which I will now re-watch for science.

This is my favorite kind of science.

Link?

(Anonymous) 2014-07-22 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Does anyone have a link to the actual scene? All I can find are fanvids that cover up the dialogue with music.

Series 2, episode 3 and link

For everyone who was asking which episode this was. :-}

That site requires registration. So, for anyone who doesn't want to register, I found it on youtube. The scene in question starts at about...5:55.

DA

It doesn't actually require registration. On the first screen, go down to the big blue button that says "Continue to Video."

Hmm. Strange; it prompted me to register when I did that.

If that hasn't been the case for others, then...yay?

It doesn't require registration, you just click on the blue tab that says "proceed to video" and then the "close ads and watch video" button. But I should've looked on youtube first, I just didn't think it'd be there. Thanks!

I have to confess, this is one of the scenes that made me wonder why she would reject him (yes I know in story he's a horrible creep, but on looks alone and where I'm being completely shallow.)

(Anonymous) 2014-07-23 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
The fact that he stabs her to death a few episodes later ruins it for me. Sorry.

(Anonymous) 2014-07-23 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
Whoa, does he really?

(Anonymous) 2014-07-23 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
... which was obviously a very contrived plotline because the showrunners decided to kill off her character and take the show in a different direction. (A very dumb move, BTW.) It wasn't just her character they got rid of, but it was the most memorable because she was a fan favorite and because it was just so boneheadedly stupid.

[identity profile] galerian-ash.livejournal.com 2014-07-23 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Some sources claim that it was actually Lucy Griffiths' choice, because she wanted out in order to get a Hollywood career going. I don't know which one is true, but I guess it doesn't really matter -- the outcome was the same, either way. (No idea what their rationale for killing Carter was; that was just utterly pointless.)

I always felt especially sorry for Richard Armitage, what with him saying he had nightmares about it.

Yeah, that scene was really something -- but so were most of the Guy/Marian scenes. I was ridiculously invested in this pairing, NEGL.
