Jesus Christ! Why would they serve a menu item that's known to be actually dangerous?

Because apparently danger adds to the cheesy goodness. Oh, I forgot that the manager also told me, "Well when I eat one I usually cut it in half to avoid that." ಠ_ಠ Why isn't that on the menu?

Or they could cut it in half in the kitchen. But as they say...you can't fix stupid.

....because it's tasty as hell? seriously there's two restaurants around here that sell Jucy Lucys (which are similar things), and all they do in service of customer safety is put notices in the menu about how hot the cheese is going to be. They've been local icons since like the 70s and they haven't been sued out of business yet.

probably because they actually warn people beforehand, so they know what they can expect.

Ooh, I made sliders like that for the 4th of July. They are definitely tasty, but a warning goes a long way.
