Not as bad as yours, but

My friends and I were traveling down the coast to get to an open house, so we could meet up with some friends. While on the way, we stopped for lunch, not realizing that the town was having a fair/festival/thing, and it was crowded as hell. We poked around for a little bit until we found a place that wasn't crowded (only one other group), and hoped we could get in and out fast.

Nope.

It took half an hour to get our food.

Did I mention that there were only seven customers total in the restaurant?

Also? Even though the people claimed otherwise, the clam chowder did have bacon in it, which was just ~great for my friend who's pescitarian.

Lying about what is in the food is terrible. :C I would have been all, "Blech, I am allergic." At least with it being on the coast, you know it was probably actual clams!

Honestly, I don't even know if they were lying; the waitress had this deer in the headlights look, like she was super terrified of serving all... Seven... of us in the restaurant. I do honestly think she made a mistake.

I mean, it was still a bad dining experience, but I don't think she intentionally lied.
