But he had that hot boyfriend in that hot fucked up relationship that one time that they actually showed us after years and years in print. I agree that leaving out his bisexuality would not change the supernatural focus of the plot, but the fact that it IS ten years later strikes me as being about damn time to be more open about this kind of thing instead of just hinting like the comics did way back when.

Well, in the history of comics, mainstream protagonists who liked people of the same sex are a relatively new thing. Of course it wasn't around much. But if that's the best excuse you can find for not including it in a new interpretation...I don't even.
