(Anonymous) 2014-07-23 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)I don't know, it seems fairly respectful from the author's description:
HoT is a fictional 2D adventure game inspired by a series of real disappearances along a stretch of remote highway in Canada. It draws its inspiration from – among others – the culture of the Haida people, Kentucky Route Zero, Detective Grimoire, Fargo and True Detective.
You play as Sofia, a documentary maker, and together with cameraman Caleb you travel to the town of Augier’s Peak, up in the wilderness of rural Canada, to find out what the hell is going on over there. Three girls have gone missing there recently, and you will have to interview people, investigate locations and unravel secrets that could eventually lead to an explanation for this mystery, and an understanding of the cultural significance these events have on the people in that region.
What's fascinating to me is how people are all up in arms about something that just has the possibility of being disrespectful. It hasn't even happened yet. But because a (dun dun DUN) white male is daring to touch the subject matter? Well, gosh, it must be horrid.
