You are not getting the point. Even after multiple people have noted what the actual problem is.

People have been murdered in the very recent past, the killer is still at large, and someone has made a game about it. That is NOT the same thing as traveling all over the country to make sure someone's story is told. If you can't see how the two are different, then fuck you.

DA I don't even think that's really the big problem with it. It's practically a cold case by this point as the RCMP don't have any leads. I think there was one before, but the guy was dead. Sure, it can be considered disrespectful, but unfortunately our culture does this on a weekly basis in the form of tv series and sometimes the news itself. I think the bigger issue is that the developer doesn't seem to really care about the victims and their families. I saw nowhere that he'd talked to the families and got their permission. Nowhere that shown that he knew anything about the area or crimes outside of what a single news article would've told him. He's just trying to get some eyes on his game by saying it's about a controversial subject. From the looks of it, the game could've been about any detective murder case in anywhere land.

AYRT

No, you don't get the point. The point is not just outrage that it's about recent events, it's the outrage that a white male is exploring/writing/creating content about the recent events. If you want to argue about video games as a storytelling medium, fine. But it's bullshit to say that someone who is the wrong color or sex can't tell the story.

SA adding to my comment above:

Also, "if you can't tell how the two are different, then fuck you"? Really? Your mental reasoning skills are so miniscule that you can't make your point without resorting to insult? And you're such a unique snowflake that you're obviously miles above someone who dares hold a different opinion? Get over yourself, buttercup.
