Chard and Noodles are very good about being jerks, but not very good at being under fire themselves. This thread is just trying to nip rumors and the inevitable trolling in the bud. They were/are considered fs's version of a bnf couple, so they feel they have to air all their drama out for the rest of us. Some people care enough to make comments about them, so I don't blame them, but it does seem very attention grabby. Whatever. Their prerogative.

There are def people who hate them (esp chard) out of all proportion to whatever mistakes they've made and it's definitely stepping up, so it's strange to call the situation as a whole attention - grabbing

I honestly don't mind being "under fire" (can you even call it that? This is a fandom message board! I'm not running for office!). At all. I'm worried about this because it might affect people I care about, and I don't want people to worry about how they talk in stream.

You'll notice I was worried about the weird breakup talk and not the dumb fat comment.

Then there are other solutions than putting your shit out of everyone to see. You said earlier that you wanted to keep it private. And yet you posted this, rather you got Noodles to post it which honestly makes zero sense to me since you're here posting now. If you're that worried about things that are talked about in public "getting out" then perhaps it's time to talk about those sensitive topics somewhere more privately or, like you said, password protect it. And honestly, this isn't even that big of a deal to make a spectacle out of. Most people here don't really care. The ones that do, well, you probably could've posted this on a journal somewhere and they would've read it. Hm, I wonder where you could get a journal to post- oh wait. Who cares if the anon is on here? They probably don't give a shit and are probably enjoying how salty you are. If/when they post something that isn't deleted then you can defend yourself if need be there. But this pre-emptive bullshit just looks worse for you. And as others have said, people who hate you will continue to whether they know the truth or not. FTR I don't hate you, but all this does make me think of you guys differently. But you shouldn't care about that. Or you know you could've just ignored the anon and moved on with your life.

I personally am glad they've posted this, because I want to know what type of shit anons are saying on this forum. I want to know what type of place this is. I also want to know if something is going on to affect the regulars here and how they post, if they are comfortable sharing that, because I would like to think we're all a friendly bunch (generally) who want to make F!S a better place, not a fearful one.

Wow, way to fail at reading comprehension. I didn't say to just shut up and take it. It's the equivalent if you found out some unknown person said a shitty thing about you at work. Are you going to obsess about it, go all passive aggressive, make a memo about it, and send it to the entire workplace? Fuck no. What's the point? You'll just annoy your co-workers. If they were constantly doing it while you were within earshot, most people (who aren't afraid of confrontations) would say something right then and there. It'd be appropriate. This is the former, not the latter. And it doesn't affect the community, just a couple members (who arguably aren't all that well liked on a whole). What I said was to deal with it yourself by finding your own solutions. One of which is to "ignore the haters." You might want to make a stink about every person who says something bad about you or you could just not give a fuck and move on with your life. This is an anonymous community. It's going to happen and if you've been here long enough then you know that it happens. Just look at the latest anon meme where there's a post about regulars. Half of it is negative. "But, oh, it was a personal attack. That's different." It really wasn't a big deal. Some anon who probably doesn't even know them that well calls her fat and airs some (uninteresting) dirty laundry. This place isn't middle school. Let that shit go. And I'd argue that F!S would be a better community if it didn't give me more reasons to dislike some of the named users. But as you said, "each to their own."

How is someone supposed to "say something right then and there" if a) the person in question is anon and b) the post gets deleted? Due to those two factors, you've set up an impossible situation. Ignoring it means letting this person continue to do what they're doing, but confronting it means "airing dirty laundry" (because the only way you can confront an anonymous person whose posts gets deleted is to make a post that the entire community can see).

Also, this is someone who is apparently going into a space, pretending to be friendly with these users, getting information from them, and then going off and being a fucker about it. You really don't see anything wrong with that? You really don't see how that effects the community, considering that people from the community go to this space, and that people aside from these users have gotten shit? You think it's middle school-type behavior for someone to give a heads up about what's going on and defend themselves, but you don't think it's middle school-type behavior to pretend to be nice to someone in order to fuck with them?
